For the ultimate cycling experience, you can also reserve special cycling shoes in addition to renting a roadbike. To click into the pedal, place the cleat which is under the cycling shoe on the pedal and click forward, after this you are attached to the pedal. You can click out again with a sideways movement. We will provide you with an explanation if it is the first time that you are on a road bike with cycling shoes.
Note: The cycling shoes run small. It is advisable to reserve the cycling shoes a size larger than your normal shoes!
XLC Cycling Shoes
The cycling shoes are lightweight and equipped with velcro, making them easy to adjust. When reserving the roadbike, you should opt for mountain bike pedals. These are suitable for the plates under the cycling shoes.
